Wrist pain is often caused by typing, computer use and / or texting on the phone.

Typing, working at a computer or texting excessively can all lead to pain in the wrist. Most wrist pains will ease without treatment. In some cases it can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome.

7 Tips to prevent wrist pain

  • Keep your wrists straight and level, not bent up, down or sideways
  • Fingers should be in a straight line with your forearm
  • Your arms should move your hands around - not you your wrists
  • Don't pound on the keys, or hold/squeeze the mouse too hard
  • Move/Shift positions, stretch, relax, walk around
  • Don't slouch - think posture
  • Keep your arms and hands warm
  • Take little breaks every 20 or 30 minutes

A wrist support can also help to ease pain in your hands and wrists. Wristys are wrist supports which can be worn on both wrists. Their unique fomulated soft cushioning protects delicate tendons and nerves and helps distribute pressure evenly. The additional thumb support gives extra support to your thumb.
