Arnica - Natural Arthritis Pain Relief
The manufacturers of Atrogel Arnica Gel started a research project 10 years ago to see if they could find the mode of action of Arnica. They discovered that freshly harvested Arnica montana flowers were rich in a group of substances known as sesquiterpene lactones. Sesquiterpene lactones act as extremely potent natural anti-inflammatory agents and they are more powerful than any other substance known to man. From this knowledge the herbal product Atrogel Arnica Gel was born.
Arnica gel can help to relieve symptoms such as sprains, muscular aches & pains, joint stiffnes, swelling after injury, Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), fibromyalgia and of cause bruising. How does Atrogel Arnica Gel work?Sesquiterpene lactones act (within the cell nucleus) by intervening at the core of the inflammatory process, inhibing production of a substance known as NF-kB. Dampening down NF-kB means less inflammation. In contrast, other natural and synthetic agents act further down the inflammatory process, at the level of enzymes, after inflammation has already started. This means that sesquiterpene lactones have the ability to intervene as soon as a fire starts, whereas other agents attempt to put out a blazing fire after it has spread.
How fast does Atrogel work?Clinical experience has shown that a significant number of people experience pain relief within a few minutes of their first application of Atrogel.
Does Atrogel have any contra- indications? Some people are allergic or sensitive to Arnica flowers and should not use Atrogel. It may be used during pregnancy and with other medicines. Unlike ibuprofen gel, Atrogel can be used by those suffering from asthma. Atrogel Arnica Gel is suitable for vegetarians. It is free from animal products, fish by-products, parabens or other 'nasties' and it is not tested on animals.
